We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong EPLAN expertise for an exciting consulting assignment at Alfa Laval in Flemingsberg, Sweden.
This is a consulting assignment with an initial duration of at least 4 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with electrical design and automation engineering for industrial process plants and customer projects. You will take responsibility for electrical hardware design and work independently according to project requirements, schedules and technical specifications.
Your main responsibilitiesElectrical design and engineering using EPLAN
Design and construction of automation and control cabinets for industrial environments
Electrical specifications for complete process plants
Electrical calculations and hardware specifications for electrical and control panels
Preparation of technical documentation
Selection and specification of electrical and automation components
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Supporting cost optimization through efficient design and component selection
Working independently with customer projects and project deliverables
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, suppliers and other stakeholders
Staying up to date with new technologies, engineering tools and working methods
We are looking for someone with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field and several years of experience in electrical design within industrial engineering, manufacturing, process industry or an engineering consultancy.
You should have experience working in customer projects and be comfortable taking ownership of your engineering tasks from specification through to completed documentation.
Key and mandatory skillsWe are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
Electrical design using EPLAN
Design and construction of automation/control cabinets in industrial environments
European IEC standards and regulations
American and Canadian UL/cUL regulations
Industrial customer projects
Siemens and Allen-Bradley components
ABB frequency drives and other commonly used industrial electrical components
It is an advantage if you also have experience with:
ATEX zones and requirements
DeltaV components
B&R components
Electrical design for process plants
Industrial automation systems
You are a structured and solution-oriented engineer who enjoys taking responsibility and solving technical challenges. You have a proactive approach, are committed to delivering high-quality results and understand the importance of meeting project deadlines.
You are also a team player with strong communication and networking skills who is willing to support colleagues when needed. A genuine technical curiosity and an interest in continuously developing your knowledge are highly valued.
