About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Embedded Systems Developer to join a Platform team in Gothenburg, focusing on technologies originating from Android and Google’s ecosystem.

You will play a key role in evaluating, integrating, and operationalizing new Android technologies for automotive applications, helping build scalable and future-proof solutions while maintaining compliance with Google Automotive Services (GAS) requirements.

The role combines hands-on development, technical innovation, hardware interaction, and collaboration with agile teams and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on embedded software development in an agile team

• Develop features and drive technical innovations

• Refine requirements and ideas together with the team

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and project teams

• Work with emerging Android technologies and automotive applications

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the platform

• Support continuous product updates and configurability

• Work with hardware, test environments, and prototypes

• Contribute to scalable and future-proof automotive infotainment solutions

Mandatory Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience

• Hands-on experience in embedded systems development

• Hardware interfacing and low-level programming experience

• Experience working with test rigs

• Strong programming skills in C++, Python and Java

• Experience with embedded software development

Preferred Experience

• Android Automotive Software Development

• Embedded Android development

• QNX

• Hypervisors

• Automotive industry experience
