You will step into a technically broad engineering role in an advanced automotive development environment, working closely with chassis systems and wheel suspension. The focus is on turning measured forces and simulation data into better durability decisions, from sensor design and calibration to CAE-based stress and strain analysis.

A large part of the role is about connecting theory with real-world testing. You will help ensure that strain gauge solutions and other sensor setups generate reliable data for model correlation and laboratory testing, while also supporting the long-term durability of components and systems. You will work cross-functionally with CAE engineers, design teams and test stakeholders, which gives you real influence on both technical direction and engineering quality. • You will lead sensor design activities with a focus on strain gauge applications for vehicles and test rigs.
• You will drive the workflow from design input and test needs to sensor concept, placement strategy and final calibration.
• You will define load ranges, identify testing needs and perform strength simulations to support sensor design.
• You will design physical components and sensor solutions, using detailed stress and strain analysis to optimize strain gauge placement.
• You will plan and oversee calibration activities to secure accurate and reliable measurement data.
• You will perform stress and strain CAE simulations for chassis systems and components during the design phase.
• You will provide recommendations to improve durability in ongoing programs and design concepts.
• You will contribute to developing durability requirements, targets and technical guidelines together with the wider engineering organization.
• You will collaborate across CAE, CAD and physical testing to connect analytical work with practical validation.

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Wheel Suspension design.
• Documented knowledge and a few years of experience from the durability domain.
• Experience of the CAE tools Ansa, Abaqus and nCode, as well as the CAD tool CATIA.
• Broad knowledge of the vehicle design process.
• Experience in writing requirements and technical guidelines.
• Ability to work across disciplines and balance theoretical modeling with hands-on testing and analysis.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
