This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Nouryon’s most strategic manufacturing sites. As Site Director, you will be accountable for safe, compliant, and reliable operations, as well as the site’s financial performance and the leadership of a 325 FTE organization. The role focuses not only on operational excellence, but also on driving organizational transformation, workforce development, and a stronger safety culture. Success will depend as much on leading people through change as on delivering business results.

In your future role as Site Director, you will

• Lead and develop the Stenungsund site organization (325 FTE) and leadership team.
• Hold overall responsibility for safety, health, environment, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen the site’s safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change, digitalization, and new ways of working.
• Build workforce capabilities, talent pipelines, and succession plans.
• Own the site's operating budget and drive productivity, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Lead asset management, reliability, and the site investment (CAPEX) portfolio.
• Ensure product quality, reliable operations, and supply chain performance.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture with strong employee and union relations.
• Advance sustainability, decarbonization, and resource efficiency initiatives.
• Represent Nouryon with authorities, customers, industry partners, and local communities.
• Based full-time at the Stenungsund site, with limited travel (5–10%).

We believe you bring

• Proven senior leadership experience in high-hazard manufacturing or process industries.
• Strong track record of leading organizational transformation and change.
• Experience driving measurable improvements in safety culture and HSE performance.
• Deep expertise in Process Safety, Asset Integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to build organizational capability, talent, and workforce skills.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including OpEx and CAPEX responsibility.
• Track record of improving productivity, cost performance, and operational efficiency through continuous improvement, digitalization, and AI.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Integrated Business Planning.
• Collaborative leader with the ability to build trust across employees, unions, and stakeholders.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced business or technical education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Great if you have

• Formal change management training or certification (e.g. Prosci, Kotter, or equivalent).
• Direct experience running or sponsoring a behavioral-based safety program, with before/after evidence of culture change.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification.
• Broad process industry experience across multiple functions, and experience in Sweden or a similar Nordic/European regulatory and labor relations environment.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI or digital tools to drive productivity, cost, or workforce flexibility gains on an industrial site.
