We’re looking for a Buyer - Procurement Electric Machines Team for a global automotive company in Gothenburg. Start is July 1st, 1 year limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.

Assignment description

We are looking for a Buyer to join the client's Procurement Electric Machines Team.



At Procurement, you will be part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services at the right cost, quality, and technology level is essential to the success of the business. Ultimately, it is about collaborating with people both inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for customers.



In this role, you will manage driveline components, including drive shafts and components for mechanical AWD systems, across procurement activities in the development, sourcing, industrialization, and running production phases.



You will work in a global cross-functional environment alongside buyers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and other key stakeholders. Together with suppliers and internal teams, you will develop an understanding of the product, market, supply base, and innovations to continuously increase value, including improvements in cost, quality, and sustainability.



By leading negotiations and building strong relationships with an international supplier base, you will contribute to continuous improvement of overall performance and competitiveness throughout the value chain.



Key Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you will:

• Drive cost management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and handle claim management

• Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects, including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract management

• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies

• Create and maintain strong commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

• Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand products/services, market trends, supply base, and innovation opportunities

• Conduct market analysis, prioritization, and identify optimal negotiation tactics

• Challenge the status quo when needed and proactively work toward improved solutions with suppliers and stakeholders

• Contribute to increased business value through improvements in cost, quality, and sustainability

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, and negotiations

• Experience working with supplier management and contractual topics

• Strong ability to drive fact-based negotiations

• Experience working in an international business environment with global suppliers

• A structured way of working with planning, prioritization, and goal achievement

• Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate complexity and competing priorities

• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills

• A team-oriented mindset with a positive approach to work



Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience

• Experience in procurement/sourcing is required

• Automotive industry experience is an advantage, but not mandatory

This is a full-time consultant position in Gothenburg through Incluso. Start is July 1st, 1 year limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.
