Senior Project Manager – IT Operations & Service Delivery
Location: Stockholm Region
Assignment Type: Full-time Consulting Assignment (100%)
Start Date: July 2026
Duration: Initial 12-month assignment with extension possibilities
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and develop IT operations within a complex enterprise environment. This role combines operational leadership, service management, infrastructure governance, and organizational development.
You will work closely with technical teams, service owners, architects, support functions, and external partners to ensure stable operations, continuous improvement, and effective delivery of IT services.
The assignment requires a strong leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution while driving modernization initiatives and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate IT operations activities across multiple technical domains.
- Ensure efficient delivery of infrastructure and workplace services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within operations and service delivery.
- Develop and enhance operational processes, governance models, and service management practices.
- Establish clear priorities, resource allocation models, and operational workflows.
- Support and mentor technical teams while fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Act as a key interface between operational teams, support functions, business stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Contribute to strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and future operating models.
- Lead initiatives related to infrastructure transitions, outsourcing, and service transformations.
- Improve supplier collaboration, operational performance, and service quality.
- Support technical decision-making and operational governance.
- Drive initiatives aimed at reducing technical debt and strengthening operational resilience.
- Participate in leadership forums and contribute to long-term operational development.
Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, program management, or IT leadership roles.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure services, including servers, networks, workplace services, applications, and service desk functions.
- Proven experience leading infrastructure transition and transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing outsourced IT service environments and supplier relationships.
- Experience delivering business-critical system upgrades and technology modernization projects.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) service delivery.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and server environments.
- Experience developing and implementing service management frameworks and operational processes.
- Experience working with ITIL-based service delivery models.
- Experience driving organizational change and operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex assignments.
