We already have a strong platform, with active collaborations involving some of the largest pharmaceutical clients in Sweden and internationally. Building on this foundation, we are looking for an experienced project manager and business development lead who can identify and unlock new opportunities while strengthening our position as a trusted partner in a market with significant growth potential. In this role, you will also work closely with clients in a delivery capacity, drawing on Ramboll’s extensive network of Life Science & Pharma experts in Sweden and internationally.

Life Science & Pharma – A Global Service Line

Life Science & Pharma is a Global Service Line within Ramboll, bringing together expertise from across the company in one collaborative setup. The Global Service Line operates across Sweden, Denmark, and the UK, where technical specialists and market leaders work together to support complex projects and key client relationships. This gives us access to a broad range of expertise and enables us to deliver integrated solutions to clients operating internationally.

We bring together multi-disciplinary buildings capability across structural engineering, building services, and project management alongside specialised expertise in areas such as vibration, lab planning, clean-rooms, production facilities (GMP), process engineering and advanced research environments. Our teams support life science and pharma clients across the full lifecycle of their facilities—from early advisory and concept development through design, tendering, construction, and final handover.

In this role, you will work closely with our global teams while also being strongly connected to the Buildings community in Sweden. You will join a department of 16 colleagues with a broad mix of experience and deep insight into the pharmaceutical industry. As part of the department leadership team, you will report to the Head of Life Science & Pharma in Sweden. From this central position in our Swedish organisation, you will have a strong mandate to help develop Ramboll’s service offering for life science and pharmaceutical clients in Sweden.

Your new role

We offer you a multifaceted role with a strong focus on creating new business opportunities, while also staying close to projects and contributing your expertise in project delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Grow our Sweden client base within the life science and pharmaceutical industry.
• Leading or contributing to strategic bids and proposals – coordinating multidisciplinary teams, commercial and legal inputs.
• Acting as Project or Programme Manager for projects for life science and pharmaceutical clients.
• Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of Ramboll’s capabilities across Sweden and globally and connecting these capabilities to client needs.
• Contributing to the development of our Sweden Life Science & Pharma organisation and supporting strategic capacity planning.
• Raising Ramboll’s profile and reputation in the market through networking, client and partner engagement and industry events.

About you

These include:

• An engineering background in a technical discipline relevant to the role.
• Several years of experience delivering projects within life science and pharmaceutical facilities.
• A strong track record in business development, with the ability to build trusted relationships with both existing and prospective clients and convert opportunities into new work.
• A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including relevant policies, market trends, investment strategies, and the wider client and stakeholder landscape
• Experience leading and delivering projects to agreed revenue and profitability targets
• An ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines and geographies.
• Experience from an engineering consultancy.
• A passion for sustainability and a strong drive to create positive change.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
