Production Development is a key function within Production FCC Järfälla, responsible for enabling efficient, robust and high-quality production through industrialisation, production engineering and quality engineering capabilities.

As Manager Production Development, you will lead an organization consisting of Production Engineers, Industrialisation Engineers and Quality Engineers with broad technical competences within manufacturing, production preparation, industrialisation, process development and quality assurance.

Your organization is responsible for supporting both new product introductions (NPI) and the continuous improvement and technical maintenance of existing production. This includes production preparation, manufacturing methods, process and flow optimization, quality assurance, production support, capability development and industrialisation of future production solutions.

Together with your team and stakeholders, you will continue to develop efficient ways of working, implement best practices and drive continuous improvements aligned with the division's strategy and future production demands.

Your responsibilities in short:

• Translating Saab, Surveillance and Production FCC Järfälla strategies into clear and well-communicated targets for your organization.
• Leading according to Saab's organizational values.
• Full responsibility for results within your area, including safety and health, quality, delivery capacity, efficiency and finance.
• Coaching and developing abilities and competences within your organization and enabling employees to take on more complex and demanding tasks.
• Empowering employees through value-driven leadership.
• Leading and developing production engineering, industrialisation and quality engineering processes and capabilities.
• Securing efficient and robust production preparation, industrialisation and manufacturing support.
• Driving continuous improvements, standardization and reduction of variation within production processes.
• Supporting development projects, production projects and NPI activities in production development related topics.
• Following up and acting on KPIs related to efficiency, quality, cost and capacity.
• Ensuring the organization has the competence and capabilities required to meet current and future business needs.
• Developing efficient ways of working, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvements.
• Maintaining and developing relations with relevant stakeholders across Production, Design, Quality and Business Units.

More specifically, we believe that you have:

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or other relevant education, or equivalent working experience.
• One year of leadership experience within relevant areas such as production engineering, industrialisation, quality or manufacturing.
• Experience from production, industrialisation, quality engineering or manufacturing development environments.
• Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging organizations, management teams and employees.
• Strong capability to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
• Strong business understanding and customer focus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience from continuous improvements, industrialisation and quality methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience from quality standards and management systems such as ISO 9001, EN9100, AQAP or similar is considered a merit.
• Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English.
