BI / Solution Architect

Location: Remote(sweden)

Workload: 50%

Assignment Period: Immediate start – December 2026, with a possibility of extension through June 2027.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced BI / Solution Architect to support the development and evolution of advanced business intelligence and data platform solutions. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where architecture, analytics, and data management play a central role in supporting business operations.

The successful consultant will provide technical leadership across the BI landscape, working closely with developers, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enhance enterprise BI and data warehouse solutions.
• 
  
• Lead data modeling, database design, and ETL development activities.
• 
  
• Provide architectural guidance and technical mentorship to BI development teams.
• 
  
• Participate in planning, prioritization, and release management activities.
• 
  
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders across multiple organizations and business areas.
• 
  
• Support continuous improvement of development standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• 
  
• Contribute to decision-making related to BI platforms, reporting solutions, and front-end architecture.
• 
  
• Act as a subject matter expert for BI managers and project teams.

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 
  
• Extensive experience in data modeling and enterprise-scale BI environments.
• 
  
• Strong background in Data Warehouse development and ETL processes using SSIS.
• 
  
• Proven experience administering and maintaining on-premises SQL Server environments.
• 
  
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing modern data platforms with overall technical responsibility.
• 
  
• Experience delivering BI solutions within public sector organizations, healthcare regions, or similar environments.
• 
  
• Practical experience working with SUSSA Data Warehouse.
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following technologies and competencies is considered an advantage:

• Power BI and Tabular Models.
• 
  
• Azure DevOps or similar DevOps practices.
• 
  
• Reporting, performance monitoring, and business analysis.
• 
  
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 
  
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing activities in complex organizational environments.
• 
  
• A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to work.
