We are looking for a postdoc to join our team at the Division of Condensed Matter and Materials Theory, Department of Physics and Astronomy. Become part of our innovative group and contribute to exciting research in quantum materials theory and statistical physics within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
About us
The research project is carried out in the https://www.chalmers.se/en/departments/physics-and-astronomy/research/condensed-matter-and-materials-theory/geilhufe-group/. The research focus of the group concerns condensed matter theory, in particular, symmetry and topology of ordered phases of matter, non-equilibrium dynamics, and stochastic processes in materials. We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive research environment, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. We are committed to supporting your career development and providing opportunities to broaden your expertise. Moreover, we prioritize personal well-being, offering benefits for health and fitness activities, along with flexible part-time work options to accommodate individual needs.
About the research project
This opportunity is part of a broader research initiative centered on investigating the influence of phonon angular momentum on electrons and the resulting formation of novel collective states of matter, both in and out of equilibrium. You will develop microscopic models for angular momentum transfer, with potential applications to superconductivity, magnetism, ultrafast transport, and ultrafast thermodynamics.
