Lead Developer – AI (Consulting Assignment)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer specializing in Artificial Intelligence for a long-term consulting assignment in Sweden.

Location & Work Setup

• Hybrid role (onsite in Sundsvall, minimum 3 days/week)
• Full-time assignment
• Long-term opportunity with extension possibility

Role Overview

You will lead the development of AI solutions and contribute to building scalable, secure, and production-ready AI systems. The assignment is in an early-stage and evolving environment where initiative and independent problem-solving are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-based system solutions
• Build and maintain scalable AI platforms and data pipelines
• Work with Generative AI, MLOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure security, quality, and robustness of AI systems
• Establish development standards, architecture patterns, and best practices
• Collaborate in agile teams across development and operations

Required Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software developer (preferably 8+ years overall)
• Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
• Strong Git-based development workflow experience
• Experience in setting up development frameworks in early-stage projects
• Fluent in Swedish (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI systems into production environments
• Knowledge of AI governance, model monitoring, and data protection
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate
• Experience from regulated or public sector environments
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
