Role Overview                                    

Careium is looking for a passionate and solution-oriented Software Developer to join a collaborative development team focused on delivering high-quality digital products that create real value for users. In this role, we are looking for someone with strong experience in mobile application development for both iOS and Android.

You will be part of a team responsible for both new development and continuous improvement of existing systems and platforms. The role offers the opportunity to work on modern mobile solutions while collaborating closely with colleagues across development, product, and business functions to ensure a seamless and high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Developer, you will take part in the full software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and estimating development effort, to coding, testing, deployment, and long-term maintenance. Your primary focus will be the development and improvement of mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business and user needs into technical solutions. You will help build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications while ensuring a high standard of quality throughout the process.

Your responsibilities will also include code reviews, testing activities, technical documentation, and continuous improvements in areas such as development workflows, release processes, and monitoring.

In addition, you will participate actively in stand-ups, team meetings, and technical discussions, while sharing ideas and supporting colleagues when needed.

Who are you and what are your qualifications?

We believe you are a curious and driven engineer with a genuine interest in mobile technology and software craftsmanship. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you are motivated by creating high-quality products used in real-life situations.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Strong hands-on experience building mobile applications for iOS and Android
• Experience working with modern programming languages, frameworks, and development tools
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or similar development methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• A structured and detail-oriented way of working
• Experience delivering maintainable, testable, and scalable solutions

• React Native for cross-platform mobile development
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native services
• CI/CD pipelines for mobile app releases
• App Store / Google Play release management
• Mobile app performance optimization and monitoring
• Backend integrations and API-driven architecture
• Mentoring junior developers and sharing best practices
• Passion for building products that create real user value
