Arbetsbeskrivning

PostNord is making a significant investment in strengthening its sustainability and ESG reporting capabilities towards customers as part of our data‑driven transformation. To support this journey, we are building a new ESG data foundation – and we are looking for an ESG Data Analyst to help shape how ESG data is analysed, validated and made usable across the organisation.

This is a foundational role where you will analyse, validate and visualise ESG data to support reliable reporting and follow‑up. You will help turn ESG data into clear reports, dashboards and insights that support customer reporting and internal decision‑making.

The role sits within the ESG Controlling Team, which is part of Group Finance, but works closely with data engineering and architecture roles.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to work close to sustainability and data, take ownership of data quality and analysis, and turn ESG data into clear, trusted reports and dashboards in a purpose‑driven domain.

Your role

As an ESG Data Analyst, you will:

  • Analyse, validate and interpret ESG and sustainability data for reporting and performance follow up.
  • Develop and maintain ESG reports, dashboards and visualisations, e.g. in Power BI.
  • Ensure traceability and consistency between source data, calculations and reported figures.
  • Design and apply data driven and automatised internal controls to detect anomalies, inconsistencies and reporting risks in ESG data.
  • Identify data quality issues, gaps and inconsistencies, analyse root causes, and drive resolution and problem‑solving together with data and ESG colleagues.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Continuously improve ESG reporting, analysis, dashboards and controls in line with evolving requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Support manual ESG reporting and ad-hoc customer reporting for key customers.

Your Team

You will be part of the ESG Controlling Team, responsible for internal, external and customer ESG data reporting for PostNord. The team is part of Record to Report within Group Finance, and the role reports to Monica Erichsen, Head of Record to Report.

You will also work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics or a similar field.
  • Several years of experience working with big data in roles such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, preferably in data lake–based environments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI and SQL; Python is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure, validate, and analyse large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with data quality checks, internal controls and handling of data uncertainties.
  • Comfortable working in complex and evolving data and regulatory environments, with a pragmatic and structured approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross‑functionally.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills; a Nordic language is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Experience working within the sustainability or logistics field is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Your profile

You are detail‑oriented and have a strong ability to break down complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. You are curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in understanding both the data and the business context behind it.

You demonstrate a high level of accountability, take initiative, and are comfortable working independently. When you don’t have the answer, you proactively investigate, ask questions and find solutions. You are courageous in your thinking, willing to challenge assumptions, and driven by building data‑driven models that create real value and can be trusted.

You are a strong collaborator who values teamwork and collective success, consistently putting the team’s outcomes and shared goals ahead of personal achievements.

We offer you

At PostNord, you will have a varied role in an international environment characterized by fast decision‑making and new challenges. You will have the opportunity to develop creative solutions with a high degree of individual responsibility and work in a non‑hierarchical, collaborative team where we support each other in achieving our goals.
