Job description

We are now looking for an electrical design engineer to Siemens in Finspång, outside of Norrköping, with beginning in june 2026. We see that you have an education within electrical engineering and experience in the field. You will provide technical support to product development projects and be able to identify process improvement opportunities, equipment improvement and ideas for relevant training opportunities. Further we’ll see that you come up with new solutions and update existing products.

Good collaboration and communication skills is important in this role since you have a lot of contact with other departments and suppliers and we see that you are good team-player with ability to be initiative and engaged in your work. You have a strong work ethic and are capable of following direction and adjust to priority changes and being proactive.

You will manage your work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets. Further you will generate design reports, present results at technical review and ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with the processes for technical scope control, quality, and health & safety. In this role we see that you have experience with standard software packages and to be familiar with Comos, EPLAN or NX are meritorious. You have experience in Medium voltage, Low voltage, Control Equipment and/or Electrical installation

This role covers conceptual and detail design, prototyping, analysis, qualification, and production support. It requires an electrical engineering background and you have a good understanding in organizing and manage different technical projects.

Responsibilities

·      You will provide technical support to product development projects on different varied tasks in Medium voltage, Low voltage, Control Equipment and Electrical installation area.

·       Prepare new solutions and update existing products together with other departments and suppliers

·       Manage your work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets.

Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the departmental processes for technical scope control, quality, and health & safety.

• Support the continuous development of the department by helping identify:

o Process improvement opportunities.

o Equipment improvement suggestions.

o Relevant training opportunities/suggestions.

Qualifications

You have an electrical engineering background and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have a strong work ethic and are able to work on own initiative and being proactive and self-motivated. In this role it is important to be able to adjust to quick changes and change of priority to meet schedule milestones. Knowledge in organizing and managing technical projects is desirable as well as being a good team-player. You have experience with standard software packages i.e. Teamcenter and Microsoft Office. experiences in: Comos, EPLAN or NX are meritorious and also experience in Medium voltage, Low voltage, Control Equipment and/or Electrical installation.
