Your MissionAs a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in both tactical and operational capacities. Your role covers a wide range of enterprise and business applications (e.g. supply chain, service, data, integrations), not limited to a single platform or product. You act as a solution architect for multiple business applications, aligning projects with architecture, integration, security, and lifecycle standards in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. In this role, you will:

• Design and oversee the technical architecture of Epiroc’s application environment to meet business needs and demands.

• Plan and guide the realization of IT solutions based on business requirements and the conditions of existing IT services.

• Ensure that technical architecture complies with enterprise‑wide architecture principles.

• Collaborate with business architects, development teams, enterprise architects, and infrastructure architects.

• Develop and enhance the Epiroc application platform to meet future operational and strategic demands.

• Participate in project activities to integrate new companies into the Epiroc ecosystem.

• Resolve 3rd‑line tickets and provide guidance to the 2nd‑line support team.

• Work closely with developers and other IT functions such as Integration, ERP, IT Security, and additional technology domains.

• Collaborate with business analysts to ensure high‑quality solution design and alignment with business processes.

• Support application managers with application architecture topics, ensuring long‑term stability and architectural consistency.

Your profile You are a proactive and solution‑oriented professional with strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. You bring strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities, a high level of adaptability and flexibility, and a service‑minded approach that enables you to support colleagues and stakeholders across the organization. You hold a university degree and you have at least 5 years of proven experience in large global companies working with business applications. You are adept at backend work within Business Application Technologies and highly proficient in working with services and applications that support a variety of business functions. This is not a hands‑on development role, the focus is on solution design, architectural decision‑making, and guiding delivery teams. But to succeed in this role, you should also bring solid technical capabilities, including:

• Proficiency in backend development and integration of business applications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS etc.

• Strong understanding of API’s and services

• Understanding of IT security principles and practices

• Software Development methodologies such as Agile, Devops etc.

• Front-end frameworks (Angular, React, etc) and back-end frameworks (.NET etc).

• Experience with standard applications and platforms such as ERP and CRM systems.

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies

• Experience with license management and software compliance

Location and otherThis position is located in Prague, Czech Republic or in Örebro, Sweden. We can offer a hybrid workplace - a way of working that provides flexibility and promotes a healthier balance between professional and personal life. This position is open to candidates who are already based in Sweden or Czech Republic. Due to the urgency of the recruitment, we are not able to support or consider international relocations - including relocation at one’s own expense - and no relocation package is offered. Occasional travel may be required.
