Särna Primary Health Care Centre - Dalarna, Sweden
Location: Särna, Sweden
Would you like to combine meaningful medical work with a calm, outdoor-focused lifestyle close to the mountains?
At Region Dalarna, you have the opportunity to make a real difference - both professionally and personally - while living close to nature in one of Sweden's most scenic mountain areas.
About Särna and life outside work
Särna is a small, friendly mountain village in northern Dalarna, close to forests, rivers, lakes and hiking trails. Life here offers a rare balance: fresh air, silence, space, and a strong sense of community. The area is known for its outdoor life all year round - skiing and snowshoeing in winter, hiking, fishing and cycling in summer, and the unique "fifth season" of spring winter that locals cherish.
Despite its size, Särna attracts many visitors during peak seasons, with around 30,000 tourist beds in the area. This gives the work a varied and dynamic character, while everyday life remains peaceful and nature-oriented. It is an ideal place for those who value quality of life, safety, and closeness to nature - for individuals, couples, or families.
About the Health Care Centre
Särna Primary Health Care Centre has approximately 2,200 registered patients and a team of around 35 employees. We work in close collaboration across professions and have a broad primary care assignment defined in agreement with the regional care choice system.
Due to our rural location, the health care centre functions much like a local urgent care unit. You will work broadly with both planned and acute care, which offers excellent opportunities to maintain and develop a wide clinical skill set. During high seasons (winter and summer), we extend our opening hours to meet increased acute care needs from both residents and visitors.
We place great importance on teamwork, support, and a welcoming work environment. As a new colleague, you will never feel alone - we discuss cases together, help each other daily, and maintain an open and supportive atmosphere. Professional development and job satisfaction are just as important to us as delivering high-quality care.
