Assignment Overview:
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Technical Lead specializing in Microsoft 365 and Identity Management.
This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing the organization’s digital collaboration ecosystem, ensuring a secure, scalable, and user-centric Microsoft 365 environment integrated with modern identity platforms.
The position blends strategic architectural ownership with hands-on engineering responsibilities, operating within a DevOps-driven environment where teams manage the full lifecycle of services—from design and implementation to operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Define and govern the technical architecture for Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, and Exchange Online.
- Establish and evolve a long-term platform roadmap aligned with business objectives, security frameworks, and digital workplace strategies.
- Drive architectural decisions using modern principles such as modular design, automation-first approaches, resilience, and cloud-native patterns.
- Identify areas for optimization by simplifying workflows and introducing automation and self-service capabilities.
Platform Engineering & Reliability
- Design, implement, and enhance Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory environments to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
- Develop automated solutions and integrations leveraging tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and GitHub Actions.
- Manage and support hybrid identity models, ensuring seamless and compliant identity experiences.
- Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot complex issues, address root causes, and continuously improve system performance and reliability.
Collaboration, Governance & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders, including product owners, architects, security teams, and business units.
- Support governance frameworks, compliance initiatives, and lifecycle management of collaboration platforms.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and cross-team coordination.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication.
- Mentor team members and actively contribute to the broader technical leadership community.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in a senior technical, architectural, or leadership role within Microsoft 365 and Identity Management environments.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Exchange Online, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of Entra ID and Active Directory, including Conditional Access, MFA, and hybrid identity models
- Experience in identity and access management and cloud security principles
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell
- Experience with event-driven integrations and APIs (Microsoft Graph, Azure Functions, Logic Apps)
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations or workflow automation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for compliance and data governance
- Experience working with multi-tenant and hybrid cloud architectures
- Relevant certifications such as MS-700, MS-720, MS-740, SC-300, or equivalent
