Senior Data Scientist – TRATON Financial Services

Role Summary

TFS Analytics serves as the headquarter function for data, analytics and AI across the Group. We provide data as a utility to the organization, offer insight and analytic services through self-service and governed data platforms,and drive business value via scalable data products, AI, and automation.

We are now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing AI and analytics function. In this role, you will take a leading position in designing, building and scaling advanced AI solutions, from predictive models to GenAI-powered applications and agentic AI systems.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to translate complex data into real business impact and who thrives in shaping the future of AI within financial services.

While our head office is located in Södertälje, this role will primarily be based at our new office in Östermalm, opening in April. The position requires flexibility to work from Södertälje on a regular basis to ensure close collaboration with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive, prescriptive and generative AI models to solve complex business problems
• Lead the exploration and implementation of LLM-based solutions, such as GenAI assistants, document intelligence systems and agentic AI workflows
• Integrate AI models and intelligent agents into business applications and digital platforms at scale
• Drive development of reusable frameworks for MLOps, LLMOps and continuous model improvement
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure scalable data pipelines and robust production environments
• Partner with business stakeholders and domain experts to identify high-impact use cases and translate them into data products
• Ensure responsible AI practices, with focus on accuracy, explainability and fairness
• Contribute to the AI roadmap and actively shape how emerging technologies are leveraged across TFS
• Act as a senior contributor in the team, supporting best practices, knowledge sharing and technical direction

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on machine learning and advanced analytics
• You hold an MSc (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field
• You are highly proficient in Python and SQL, and experienced with modern machine learning frameworks
• You have hands-on experience working with Generative AI and LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Bedrock, Claude, Gemini or open-source models)
• You bring experience or strong understanding of Agentic AI and building autonomous or semi-autonomous AI systems
• You are familiar with MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD pipelines and deploying models in cloud environments
• You have a solid foundation in data engineering concepts, feature engineering and model lifecycle management
• Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, dbt or similar is considered a strong advantage
• Exposure to financial services, risk modeling or customer analytics is a plus
