Job Description:

The client is seeking an Expert-level Cyber Security Engineer with specialized expertise in Fortinet technologies. The role focuses on maintaining, upgrading, and configuring Fortinet network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across enterprise environments.

This position involves hands-on responsibility for firmware lifecycle management, hardware upgrades, and advanced configuration of Fortinet devices, including firewalls, switches, and access points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage firmware lifecycle activities, including upgrades and patching of Fortinet devices.
• Configure and reconfigure systems during hardware replacement and infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide technical support for network configurations, ensuring stability and security compliance.
• Administer and maintain Fortinet solutions such as FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP devices.
• Work with high availability (HA) setups, particularly FortiGate 100 series environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of network security solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Fortinet infrastructure components.

Experience Required:

• Several years of hands-on experience in Fortinet network security technologies.
• Proven expertise in:
• FortiGate 100 series in High Availability (HA) environments
• FortiSwitch management
• FortiAP deployment and configuration

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in FortiGate firewall administration and configuration
• Experience in managing FortiSwitch and FortiAP devices
• In-depth knowledge of firmware upgrades, patch management, and device lifecycle
• Solid understanding of network security principles and infrastructure design
• Ability to handle hardware upgrades and configuration changes efficiently

Certifications:

• Advanced/Expert-level Fortinet FortiGate certifications (mandatory)
• Certifications in FortiSwitch and FortiAP management (required)

Language Requirements:

• Swedish: Proficient (mandatory)
