Role Summary

In this role, you will solve complex physical and hardware-related challenges by developing advanced software that delivers a powerful, smooth, and robust powertrain, while also ensuring long hardware lifetime and reliability.

Our work involves extensive vehicle testing, and your ideas will be developed through short, iterative development cycles. We foster a culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and thinking beyond conventional solutions.

Safety is a key part of our responsibility. We work extensively with functional safety concepts for different driving scenarios — both with and without a driver — in accordance with ISO 26262. You will also contribute by formulating clear, testable requirements that meet both regulatory demands and customer expectations.

About the Team

We develop embedded software for TRATON-developed gearboxes and actuators within the propulsion domain. We are now looking for a new team member to strengthen our work with gear change control.

Your Profile

Must have

• A degree in engineering, with a background in software, mechatronics, or electrical systems development

• Several years of experience in embedded systems, preferably within the automotive industry

• Strong knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and C and/or Python• A valid European category B driver’s license, as vehicle testing is a continuous part of the role

Nice to have

• Experience working with ISO 26262 or similar certification processes

• Experience in requirements specification for embedded systems

• Knowledge of or experience with TRATON powertrain development
