WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

Your mission is simple but impactful, develop new Oatly products that taste amazing, are good for people and the planet, and push plant-based food forward. You’ll help bring ideas to the shelf, working from early concepts all the way to the moment a customer says, “Wow, this is good.” And you’ll do it alongside an amazing, curious, and collaborative team.

More specifically, you will:

• Develop products that win hearts and help convert more people to plant-based.

• Drive and contribute to the creation of unique food products by exploring the how and why behind each development step.

• Perform and coordinate hands-on product development work.

• Present insights and findings clearly to colleagues across teams.

• Balance business needs with technical realities and work fast without compromising quality.

• Work in a structured, results-focused way, while staying flexible when surprises show up (they will).

• Support and improve our systems, processes, and ways of working.

• Jump into trials, tests, and analyses whenever needed.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• An M.Sc. in food science/technology, food engineering, biotechnology, chemical engineering, agriculture, or a similar field.

• 2-4 years of product development experience in the food industry.

• Fluency in English.

Bonus points if you have:

• Hands-on experience working independently in a food lab.

• Knowledge of plant-based dairy or dairy technology.

We also imagine you’re curious, innovative, and structured. You enjoy working collaboratively but can drive things independently when needed. You love continuous learning, improvement, and balancing the big picture with important details. Most importantly, we hope you share our values and want to contribute to our mission of making the world a little better.
