If you have experience in Sourcing and Supply Chain within nuclear systems development and industrialization, we encourage you to apply and join our team in making a significant impact in the world of clean energy.

What we do at Blykalla

Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.

What you’ll get to do

As a Sourcing Specialist in our team, you will play a crucial role in Sourcing and Supply Chain at Blykalla. Your focus will be on driving sourcing activities to secure the successful development of our SMR projects. In practice, this means being the commercial expert in our system development projects, building and maintaining effective supplier partnerships, ensuring compliance with standards, running competitive bidding processes and owning the external supplier relationships for several system industrialization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand technical requirements, timelines, and objectives.
  • Analyze the market to identify potential nuclear systems partners or suppliers meeting our project requirements.
  • Develop and execute Supply Chain strategies for nuclear systems and services critical to the development of Blykalla’s projects and SMRs.
  • Conduct the Blykalla Sourcing process towards potential partners or suppliers.
  • Manage contractual discussions with the chosen partners and suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and ensure that the procurement process is in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements during the project.
  • Support the Supply Chain team in overseeing the Source-to-Pay cycle.
  • Manage Supply Chain-related risks and develop applicable mitigation & contingency plans.
  • Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance of the Supply Chain and Sourcing activities with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Who you are

You will be part of a highly skilled team with a can-do attitude. We value personal chemistry and strive to create a workplace where you enjoy coming to. There are, however, a few things that we think will help you to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record from previous technical projects and/or from negotiating contracts and managing nuclear suppliers.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Sourcing and Supply Chain, preferably from the Nuclear energy sector or any other highly technical and highly regulated industries (automotive, aerospace, greentech…).
  • You have grit and a strong drive to solve problems, especially the global energy problem.
  • You are an outspoken team player who thrives in an independent role.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written, Swedish or any additional language is a plus.

So, what do you think?

Joining our team means being part of a supportive and innovative environment where your ideas are valued and your expertise is recognized. You will have the opportunity to work with industry leaders and contribute to the safe and sustainable use of nuclear power.

If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and play a pivotal role in nuclear safety and making the world a better place, apply now and help shape the future of the nuclear energy industry!
