We are looking for a dedicated researcher to study how agricultural practices affects soil health and how it can be assessed. About the position This project offers a unique opportunity to explore fundamental questions about soil health in agricultural cropping systems and advance your research career in a leading international research environment. The position is part of the EU project MultiSoil (https://www.multisoil.eu/) that will provide a broad network and expertise to support your research. As a post-doc in the project, you will develop and execute analyses of published data or existing data collections in collaboration with experts from other European countries. Your profile We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with a Ph.D. in soil ecology, mycology, microbiology, molecular ecology, or a related field. The candidate is expected to have previous experience of tools to perform meta-analyses, systematic literature reviews or other analyses of already published research data, and to have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. It is a merit if the candidate has skills in programming languages (e.g. python or R) and good knowledge about agricultural cropping systems and ecology. In the recruitment process we will place great emphasis on the candidates’ interest in soil health and agricultural cropping systems, as well as personal qualities, such as collaboration ability, accuracy and independence. *A position as a postdoctor is intended for a researcher early in their career, we are therefore primarily looking for candidates who completed their doctoral degree no more than three years ago About us The Department of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology, SLU, holds a top international position in research.
