What does an Electronics designer do at the New Business Access Control Solutions department?
As an electronics designer, your role spans from conceptualizing the initial product idea to its global launch. Your responsibilities are diverse, encompassing not only electronics design but also schematic design, component selection, testing and verification, production support, and certifications. You'll collaborate within cross-functional project teams, working closely with product managers, project managers, PCB CAD specialists, software developers, mechanical engineers, UX designers, sourcing experts, quality assurance professionals, and technical writers, to name a few.
You'll work with a range of technologies, such as analog and digital electronics, CPU & MCU implementation, power and Power over Ethernet (PoE), high-speed interfaces (such as Ethernet, USB and memory interfaces), RF/antennas, heat manegement and electro-mechanical means of user interaction. Additionally, to maintain our high-quality standards, you'll design and test for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and electrical safety.
As many of the products we develop are new to us or the market, you'll have ample opportunity to tap into your creative side. To further foster innovation, we dedicate 10% of our working time to "Free Fridays," where each employee can use this time for learning, developing personal ideas, and general innovation.
Who are you?
You're an enthusiastic Electronics Designer with a strong passion for technology. You have at least 5 years of a relevant experience in electronics. You hold a university or college degree. Proficiency in electronics CAD tools such as Expedition or PADS, and experience in designing both digital and analog electronics, would be beneficial.
You have a track record of developing complete products, from concept to mass production, ideally in the consumer electronics sector. You thrive in team environments and are comfortable taking a leading role.
