The School of Information Technology Halmstad University’s School of Information Technology (ITE) is a renowned multi-disciplinary institution with around 155 employees from 20 different countries. ITE is internationally recognised for its applied research and collaborative initiatives, focusing on smart technology and its practical applications.  Within ITE, our students and researchers engage in diverse areas of study, including electronics, AI, information-driven healthcare, autonomous vehicles, social robotics, and digital design. The candidate should be able to take full course responsibility in teaching at bachelor and advanced level within the subjects of programming, data science and machine learning. The candidate is expected to drive the development of courses and independently administer and run them. Participation in research projects is a possibility, so experience from research projects is a merit. Qualification To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer, one must have an advanced degree and demonstrated teaching proficiency. For this position an advanced degree in Machine learning or closely related  area is required.  The applicant is required to have:  - Strong teaching proficiency, including documented experience in teaching the subject - Experience of teaching in programming and machine learning on both bachelor and advanced level - Proven skill through experience with various teaching methods Strong merits include: - Research experience, especially with applications in healthcare - Proven ability to work with people from different disciplines, both in academia and industry. - Experience in the relevant subjects (programming and machine learning) from industry - High proficiency in written and spoken English Proven experience in leadership, administrative skills and interaction with the wider community is an asset.  Salary Salary is to be settled by negotiation.
