Are you ready to take a leading role in shaping practical carbon capture technologies?

We are now looking for a Senior Product Technology Manager / Product Technology Manager to develop Carbon capture solutions and integrate those with existing flue gas-gleaning solution portfolio in Valmet’s Environmental Solutions Technology Unit. We help our customers in energy, pulp, wood panel, mineral wool and other selected industrial segments to accelerate circularity activities and meet flue gas emissions limits with our dry and wet flue gas cleaning solutions.

This is a new role at Valmet Environmental Solutions Technology function. You will report to Senior Manager, Technology. This role can be based at any of our major locations.

What you’ll do

You are responsible for building Valmet’s Carbon Capture technical offering including flue gas pre-treatment solution and establishing solid sales leads pipeline with sales team. You will work across the organization, collaborating with sales, technology, partners, and customers, while being an active part of developing Valmet’s carbon capture business and technical offering.

You are responsible for the process design and performance guarantees of the proposed Carbon capture solutions as well as responsible for the solution end-to-end competitiveness, and the performance of the solution meets the market needs.

You will lead the solution standardization and possible modular product structure development and upkeeping. You are responsible for product management practices, for instance by producing technical templates, design sheets and design instructions,

On sales projects your role is to ensure the most cost competitive technical concept is used including optimal layout. In delivery projects your role is to support projects in form of instructions, technical problem solving and decision making in process design related questions. You work closely with our customers and Valmet’s strong technology organizations cross-functionally.

Expectations

• Master’s degree in thermal, process, or chemical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar product technology, process design, or engineering role.
• Practical experience with carbon capture technologies such as pressure swing adsorption (PSA), temperature swing adsorption (TSA), amine scrubbing, or hot potassium carbonate (HPC).
• Understanding of plant‑level integration, process simulation, and equipment used for flue gas and product gas compression and decompression
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Occasional travel is required.

You also have can-do attitude and curious mindset.

It is beneficial to have experience in sales and delivery project role. Especially conducting Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) projects.

We appreciate a team player with a positive can-do attitude and curiosity for process engineering. You enjoy working with versatile team of people and take responsibility. You understand the big picture, but you are also capable of detailed engineering work considering interdependence. You plan and prioritize your own work independently and can also lead others in your projects with clear targets and deadlines. You can deliver results in a changing international project environment with tight schedules.
