YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross‑functional team with skilled Mobile Engineers, Product Designers and Product professionals. You’ll play an important role in Voi’s continued growth and success. Your responsibility is to build features that engage and empower our users and drive the app experience forward. This will include:

• Building and designing scalable and reliable backend services for our various products.

• Working closely with peer teams (data, mobile, IoT, design, ML, product) and business partners (marketing, repairing services, logistics).

• Working with large‑scale data processing to understand user behaviour and help define new product features.

• Contributing to discussions on architecture, tools, products and technologies, bringing ideas and a learning mindset.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We use Golang, but there is no requirement for previous experience in that language. We believe that good engineers can switch and learn new languages and technologies. To have a great start with us at Voi, we believe you have:

• Experience building and designing scalable and reliable backend systems.

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset – you see teamwork as a key to success.

• A strong business sense with a laser focus on business value and user impact.

• Experience writing well‑structured, testable, reliable, efficient and easily maintainable code.

• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (for example GCP, AWS or Azure).

• Experience in building or contributing to systems with microservices architecture.

• Experience of working in diverse and cross‑functional teams towards a common goal.

• It’s a plus (not a must) if you have experience with Machine Learning or ML‑driven products.
