About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's engineering team and contribute to the development, design, and verification of landing gear systems. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, safe, and certifiable mechanical solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for landing gear systems, including structures, mechanisms, and interfaces
• Produce and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable standards
• Perform and support structural and mechanical analyses (e.g. stress, fatigue, tolerance analysis)
• Participate in requirements definition, design reviews, and technical decision-making
• Collaborate with systems engineering, stress, manufacturing, and quality teams
• Support verification, validation, and certification activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design methods, tools, and processes

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably within complex mechanical systems
• Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, NX, Creo, or similar).
