Our Design Engineering team are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to Husqvarna Construction in Jonsered.

What do we do

The Design Engineering team works with new development and product improvement of Husqvarna's light equipment products, like power cutters, drill motors etc.

Our products are developed at the forefront of technology, driven by growing environmental awareness and the need for more sustainable solutions. They are primarily handheld, engineered with a high power‑to‑weight ratio, and consistently designed with a strong focus on ergonomics to ensure an optimal user experience.

With us, you’ll be part of a positive, supportive organization where collaboration truly matters. Our work is carried out in project‑based setups, with small, cross‑functional teams working closely alongside project management, electronics and software, testing, and production.

Product development here is diverse and hands‑on—spanning everything from the first sketch to the start of production, always with the customer at the center. As a newcomer, you’ll quickly build a solid understanding of our products and their architecture. Thanks to the team’s strong expertise and inclusive mindset, there is always someone nearby to guide you and answer questions.

Who are you

We are looking for you with a solid mechanical interest who wants to work with problem solving in a CAD environment. Primarily you will work with handheld products, designing parts in magnesium, aluminum and plastic.

We see that you have a degree in engineering at university level or similar.

You speak and write English freely.

Location: This position is based in Jonsered.
