A Snapshot of Your Day Join our innovative engineering team as a Mechanical Design Engineer and take on a key role in turbine development with a specific focus on the turbine stator. In this position, you will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle – from early concept and technical solution to detailed design, implementation, and service support. You will develop high‑quality CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications that support both our products and manufacturing processes. The role also includes providing hands‑on technical support to procurement, external suppliers, and our workshop in Finspång, as well as investigating and managing fault reports from the service organization. This is a stimulating opportunity to expand both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities while working with advanced turbine technology and stator design. How You’ll Make an Impact • Document design solutions through 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications. • Act as a technical interface towards service, suppliers, and our workshop. • Work cross‑functionally with other engineering disciplines to develop robust and innovative design solutions. • Perform or contribute to fault investigations and root cause analyses to improve product performance and reliability. • Lead minor projects or sub‑projects for new and existing turbine products, with a focus on continuous improvement of methods and processes. What You Bring • A proactive and curious mindset with a strong motivation to develop and grow as an engineer. • A solid interest in mechanical design and experience in 3D CAD modelling and detailed drawings; experience with welded designs is considered an advantage. • MSc degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Strong communication skills in both English and Swedish, written and spoken. • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in team‑oriented environments. About the Team Our department consists of approximately 120 highly skilled professionals, including 21 engineers specialized in stator construction. The turbine group is a key part of the component organization within gas turbine development and is responsible for the design and development of turbine components for our gas turbine portfolio, including SGT‑600, SGT‑700, SGT‑750, and SGT‑800.
