Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to be a part of a company where you can work in a truly multidisciplinary research environment, contributing to the development of small-molecule drugs from idea to clinical candidate? At Sprint Bioscience, we live and breathe science and collaboration. We are now looking for someone who shares our passion for laboratory work in cell biology.

SPRINT BIOSCIENCE IN SHORT
Sprint Bioscience develops small-molecule drug projects with a focus on oncology. With fragment-based drug design methods, advanced technical approaches, and leading specialists, we develop the drugs of the future - from the idea stage to a clinical candidate with the goal set at being "First-in-Class".

Our business model is to identify and develop drug projects and license these in the preclinical phase to partners in the pharma industry for further development.  We choose projects with the greatest technical and commercial potential for success.
About 30 committed employees work closely together in a multidisciplinary environment with cutting-edge science and stimulating projects. We collaborate with academic and industrial partners from all over the world.

We are situated in tailor-made premises in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, 20 minutes by train from Stockholm City.

You will be part of the Tumor Biology and Therapeutics team, consisting of 8 dedicated scientists working closely together in project-specific teams. Project teams are dynamic and can change depending on project priorities. You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects in parallel, in constant interaction with members of the other scientific teams (Protein Science, Medicinal Chemistry, Structured based drug design). We offer you an opportunity to develop both within and outside of your discipline.

The position is a full-time permanent position with an initial 6 months probation period.

Your specific contributions and responsibilities will be to:
  • Independently design, execute and analyze experiments to test compound activities with the aim of producing robust and high-quality data.
  • Document and report experimental data and assessments to support project decisions and milestones.
  • Develop cell-based assays for screening and profiling of compounds and help understanding their mechanism of action.
  • Contribute to scientific and technical development within the team.
  • Organize, plan, and coordinate your work within the team and across multidisciplinary project teams.

WHO YOU ARE
You thrive in the lab, where you will spend most of your workday. Collaborative skills and the ability to communicate are essential and work experience from the industry is meritorious.

To be successful for this position you need:
  • PhD or MSc/BSc degree in cell biology-related disciplines.
  • Extensive laboratory experience in performing and analyzing cell-based and molecular biology assays.
  • Passion for hands-on laboratory work.
  • To be accurate, structured, and work safely in the lab.
  • A collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communications skills in written and spoken English.
