Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and operate secure backend services as part of an empowered agile DevOps team.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to define functionality, estimate work, and support effective sprint planning.
• Take ownership of technical design within your domain, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and long-term scalability.
• Work hands-on with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and related tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, operational excellence, automation, monitoring, and quality.
• Participate in daily collaboration within the Lindholmen office and across global teams in Europe, the US, and China.
• Support the full software development lifecycle using GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, and DevOps principles.
• Apply secure development practices, including mTLS and OAuth, and ensure reliability through testing and system observability.
• Help shape team ways of working, share knowledge, and contribute to building high-impact, innovative cloud solutions.

What you bring:

• At least five years of professional experience as a Java backend developer.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and REST/gRPC services.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Splunk, GitLab, test automation (JUnit), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, system monitoring, observability, and agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or Scaled Agile.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams and in environments involving connected vehicles, cloud services, or mobility solutions (meritorious).
• A structured and thoughtful approach to decision-making, with strong communication skills and a habit of seeking clarification before execution.
• A proactive mindset, passion for continuous learning, and commitment to improving products, processes, and technical solutions.
• High integrity, strong sense of accountability, and the ability to promote ownership, transparency, and follow-through.
• Fluency in English and an interest in contributing to an international, collaborative environment
