Senior Data Engineer - Databricks (including Spark and Unity Catalog) - Lakehouse architecture Place of Work: Malmö, Sweden Way of working: hybrid (3 days / week on-site in the office) Availability: 100% Start date: 2026-01-15 End date: 2026-12-31 Role & tasks As a Senior Data Engineer, the candidate will play a central role in the company's data landscape, taking responsibility for developing and maintaining data pipelines that meet the highest industry standards. The role requires a holistic mindset and proven experience of designing, optimising, and sustaining data pipelines using Databricks, with potential integrations to streaming data sources such as Kafka. The candidate will collaborate closely with both business and IT stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver high-quality data products that are fit-for-purpose, flexible, secure, stable, reusable, and easy to maintain. Technical Skills Must have: * Minimum 3 years of experience with Databricks, including Spark and Unity Catalog * Solid understanding of Lakehouse architecture * Proven track record in building and maintaining Data Products * Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) * Strong programming skills in Python * Proficiency in SQL * Experience working with Parquet, Iceberg, and Delta Lake * Excellent communication and collaboration skills Nice to have: * Delta Live Tables in Databricks * Hands-on experience of working with cloud solutions (Azure) * Hand-on-experience with DB * Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms * Experience working with financial data Language: English fluent (and Swedish) If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
