About the role
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a pivotal member of our Corporate Legal team, reporting to the Director Corporate Legal. You will work closely with colleagues from different functions across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring company compliance in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice in corporate and commercial law, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
• Lead and provide cross-functional support related to outsourcing (Solvency II),  data protection (GDPR) and management of ICT agreements (DORA).
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in pan-European and global projects and initiatives.   
• Draft and develop internal legal processes and frameworks to ensure company-wide
• compliance with corporate governance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in close collaboration with outside counsel and advise on possible risks and opportunities.
• Act as a mentor and operational support within the team.

Who are you?
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative senior legal professional with a passion for legal work in an international context. You thrive in a role that combines strategic thinking with operational responsibility. You have a positive mindset with a can-do attitude.  

Qualifications:

• Master of Laws (LL.M.)
• 10+ years of solid experience from a top-tier international law firm or as in-house counsel in a multinational setting (or ideally, a combination of the two).
• Strong background in insurance or financial services with a proven track record of managing complex corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Hands-on experience with the Insurance Distribution Directive, the Solvency II Directive, the EIOPA Guidelines, DORA and GDPR would be a strong advantage.  
• Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English (written and spoken), other languages a bonus.
• A proactive, supportive and inclusive approach to teamwork and collaboration generally.
