About the Role

As the Director of Product Strategy and Preparation, you will be responsible for initiating, driving, and coordinating all activities related to the Product Strategy globally for GTO Cab and Vehicle. You will also have direct responsibility for executing the Product Process development for Volvo products in Europe and actively support similar activities for Renault, Volvo North America, and Mack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of efficient Product Process solutions in close interaction with GTT Engineering departments and plants.
• Enhance industrial performance and accelerate the transformation towards decarbonized products and sustainable operations.
• Secure competence growth and collaborate within value flows with all functions contributing to Product Process development.
• Drive and coordinate activities related to Architecture and Product strategy globally for Cab and Vehicle assembly.
• Execute Product Process development for Volvo Products in Europe and shared components with Renault, Volvo North America, and Mack.
• Optimize and prioritize activities related to Product development in GTO, from early Architecture definition to implementation in plants.
• Ensure successful introductions of Product modifications in plants.
• Lead interactions with GTT Cab and Chassis Engineering departments for both Classic and Electric vehicles.
• Represent GTO in cross-functional development and technology teams.
• Synchronize Product and Process activities and engage technical preparation teams in France and the US.
• Drive the interface with Manufacturing Engineering functions in plants, primarily with Intro Engineering and Pilot plant representatives.
• Lead the Digital transformation for technical preparation in GTO, enhancing the use of AR/VR in cross-functional development processes.
• Secure interfaces and Ways of Working (WoW) in an AGILE context related to GTT Technology and Vehicle Streams.
• Support the implementation and evolution of AGILE methods and WoW within the VEME organization.
• Create a high-performing culture and inspire, develop, and motivate employees and managers by further developing VPS in the area.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate engineer with broad knowledge of Product Process development.

• Extensive senior leadership experience (leading leader level) in a Manufacturing Engineering environment.

• Proven track record in leading large, cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

• Deep understanding of Lean Production and AGILE methods.

• Strong interpersonal relation capabilities at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated business acumen with managerial courage.

• Ability to inspire and involve people to create engagement and a common view of working.

• Experience in managing digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the use of AR/VR technologies.

• Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
