Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Manager to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Ensure the quality assurance of purchased items, materials, and subsystems within the action and propulsion product group (gunpowder, explosives, igniters).
- Implement and uphold the company’s purchasing strategy, policy, and procedures to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Define and manage quality requirements in requests for quotations, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Participate in and prepare documentation for purchasing and quality control activities.
- Conduct supplier and product audits on-site to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead and collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement programs.
- Manage material complaints and ensure proper supplier follow-up and corrective responses.
- Address production deviations in close coordination with production quality teams.
- Participate in ANDON investigations and support root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Act as a mentor and subject matter expert to guide and support junior team members in supplier quality and development.
- Travel within Sweden and Europe to visit suppliers and manage on-site quality activities.
What you bring:
- Solid professional experience as a Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) or within supplier quality and development in a manufacturing or defense industry context.
- Proven expertise in quality management, purchasing processes, and supplier development for technical or chemical product groups.
- Strong command of classical quality tools and methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, with LEAN/Six Sigma experience considered a strong asset.
- Relevant academic background in chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and structured approach to quality improvement.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Sweden and Europe
