Assignment Description:
Supplier Quality Engineer
Location:
Västerås
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Communication:
- Engage with suppliers to provide feedback on issues identified in production or reported by customers.
- Request both immediate and long-term corrective actions from suppliers.
- Quality Improvement:
- Review and analyze 8D reports.
- Lead improvement projects with suppliers aimed at enhancing quality and reducing costs.
- Act as a project team member in production and supply chain management (SCM) projects.
- Supplier Evaluation:
- Participate in supplier evaluations and drive corrective action plans to reduce Parts Per Million (PPM).
- Conduct annual audits on selected suppliers.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, purchasing, and R&D teams to enhance the overall quality of purchased materials.
Background Requirements:
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Knowledge of motors and gears and/or cables and harnesses.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with process audits and ISO 9001 standards.
- Understanding of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and control plans.
- Experience with SAP.
- Skills:
- Strong teamwork and social skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Swedish.
