Job Summary

The Civil Engineer / Site Supervisor is responsible for providing technical oversight and field-level supervision of civil and structural works during project execution. The role ensures that all civil construction activities—including foundations, superstructures, site development, and infrastructure works—are carried out in accordance with approved designs, applicable standards, safety requirements, and project quality procedures.

Acting as a key link between design, project management, and construction teams, the Civil Engineer / Site Supervisor ensures alignment between engineering intent and on-site implementation, supporting timely, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil and structural construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review and validate construction method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and work procedures submitted by contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, workmanship, material quality, and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Provide technical clarifications to contractors and coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Verify and maintain as-built documentation, redline drawings, and construction progress records.
• Support project management teams with progress measurement, schedule validation, and reporting from a civil works perspective.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and project controls teams to ensure construction activities comply with project governance requirements.
• Assist with material inspections and approvals in coordination with quality control engineers and consultants.
• Monitor and report on contractor performance, resource utilization, and compliance with project milestones.
• Participate in site coordination meetings, providing technical updates and identifying potential risks or bottlenecks.
• Support risk and change management processes by identifying civil-related impacts and proposing mitigation measures.
• Promote and enforce project commitments to safety, sustainability, and quality across all site activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Education, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in civil works supervision on EPC, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, construction methodologies, and QA/QC processes.
• Proven experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
• Familiarity with international and European standards and codes (e.g., Eurocodes, EN, BS, ACI, ASTM).
• Strong site supervision, coordination, and contractor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction progress tracking tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working on data centers, energy, or industrial facility construction projects.
• Knowledge of surveying coordination, geotechnical interfaces, and reinforced concrete works.
• Familiarity with BIM or digital construction tools for progress tracking and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project and site teams.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental best practices in construction environments.
