As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our core infrastructure. This by ensuring that we retain stable, up-to-date, and modern systems to serve Viaplay Group’s numerous services ranging from internal development to customer-facing streaming.

You will be joining the Content Infrastructure team that is responsible for large parts of Viaplay Group’s core infrastructure. The team works with these pillars of infrastructure – Compute, Network, Storage, and Security – in a hybrid cloud environment. We encourage a culture of open communication and information sharing to achieve efficiency in not having to solve the same problems twice.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• Provide private cloud services through multiple virtualization technologies.
• Manage multi-petabyte storage for several departments
• Build and manage the streaming platform where all Viaplay Sports and streaming TV channels originate

We operate on a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, with one week of on-call duties every 5 to 6 weeks.

We are searching for someone who is goal-oriented, analytical, service-conscious, and accurate with quality as peer. With your experiences, we believe you could contribute to the team with latest updates in the field and drive change in the domain.

In order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

• Working with various Linux distributions
• Proficiency in scripting, most preferably Python
• Working in modern datacenter layer 2 and layer 3 networking
• Automation and configuration management tools – Salt, Ansible, etc.
• Managing distributed storage systems

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Docker and Kubernetes management experience
• BGP routing experience in multi homed environments
• Spectrum Scale management experience
• Proficiency in network security and auditing services
