Westermo is a leading provider of industrial data communication solutions, ruggedized Ethernet switches, and routers. Our routers and switches are powered by our own Linux-based, leading-edge industrial network operating system - WeOS. Our software development teams continuously develop and improve the WeOS product in a Lean and Agile way. Our SW Program Management Team is now looking for a Release Manager/Product Owner- is that you?

In this role, you will act as a coordinator (or, as we say in Swedish; the spider in the web) in planning and managing software releases across multiple teams. You are in the driver's seat, and your job is to make sure that release processes and procedures are followed, risks are identified and mitigated, and monitor progress.

Some key aspects of this role:

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful releases
• Continuously improve release processes to enhance efficiency and quality
• Support the SW teams to work and deliver on the right things, according to the demands and priorities
• Collaborate with Product Managers, domain experts, Product Project Managers, and SW teams to determine and accept the work according to our definition of done
• Manage release activities, including communication about development status and quality
• Remove obstacles and coach the teams to be as effective and efficient as possible

So, who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who'shad a similar coordinating/coaching/leading role before, and who understands the underlying process of release management. You have an Agile and Lean mindset when it comes to software development, and you are curious about new ideas, methods and innovations. You like to work with both people and technology, and you find team work essential to get things done.

Perhaps most important is that you are a good communicator with a coaching approach; meaning you focus on understanding others as well as explaining the problems, challenges and solutions.

Requirements:

• Academic Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Experience in working in an Agile way, in some leading/coordinating role
• Communicative, with a coaching approach

Meritorious:

• Knowledge in Computer Network Technologies
• Skills in C programming
• Knowledge in Linux and embedded development
• Knowledge in Ethernet Products
