As a Frontend developer (Smart TV), you will join Viaplay with the mission to further develop and maintain our platform with a focus on developing and improving our TV application. The team’s mission is Navigation and the team is dedicated to making sure our customers have a pleasant and smooth experience while finding what to watch next from our Viaplay library.

You’ll be involved in the whole development lifecycle and everyday work may consist of development, solution design, complexity assessment, as well as test and deployment.

You will join an autonomous metrics-driven cross-functional team of experts to deliver engineering solutions aligned with long-term technical and product visions. We build our entire product in-house with apps in native and cross platform languages. We strongly believe that being on the edge of things when it comes to technology is crucial, always keeping ourselves up to date and constantly challenging the status quo.

We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

• Experience developing customer-focused web-based services, using HTML/JavaScript

• Experience working with a state-less and highly transactional end user product.

• Solid experience of working in an agile environment.

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience working with HTML-based Smart TV applications

• Experience from the media- or streaming industry.
