The Role:
We are looking for a Technical Manager for our factory in Sävsjö, Sweden.
As a key member of the site management team, you will report to our Factory Manager in Sävsjö and be leading a team of technical experts for improving the facility as well as technical solutions.
You will directly manage 4 employees and be responsible for the technical department, which comprises 16 colleagues.
Your Tasks:
- You will lead, plan and monitor the Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management and Energy areas of our site and be responsible for optimal resource planning
- You will be responsible for driving our Triple Zero Agenda and for continuously improving the safety record and promoting a culture where safety is paramount
- You will be responsible for the implementation of projects and investment planning at our site, according to a defined time and budget framework and in compliance with all safety standards
- Together with the factory management team, you will develop strategies to achieve the goals and further develop the automation in our factory
- You will be a key member of the Global Engineering community as access point to OEM and subject matter experts
- You will also be responsible for the management and professional development of your employees and for drawing up and ensuring succession plans
- Working with local unions and employee representatives on relevant issues, including ensuring effective management of labor issues
- You work in an environment of continuous improvement and a CI mindset is critical for the role holder, you are in close contact with international colleagues as part of regional and global projects
- You are responsible for creating strategic maintenance and servicing plans
- You will have overall responsibility for the external service providers at our site
Your Education, Skills, Experiences:
- You have strong leadership and coaching skills, coupled with strong stakeholder management to challenge the status quo and drive change and operational excellence
- You have a degree in (industrial) engineering or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least three years of professional experience in a similar position and have management experience
- You are familiar with facility management and energy in the production environment and have experience in implementing 'Net Zero' targets
- You have knowledge of change management and the application of LEAN methods such as FMEA, DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen and have experience in project management
- You have a good knowledge of health and safety.
Proof of a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage
- You have a willingness to continuously improve our consumer-oriented business and the skills of employees and yourself
- You have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge the status quo
- In addition to a very good command of Swedish, you also have a good command of English
- A solution-oriented and structured way of working, paired with a hands-on mentality and very good communication skills round off your profile
