Company Description

Are you ready to put in the next gear of moving IKEA and making us better together? We are looking for a Master Data Specialist.

At IKEA Data & Technology, we are on a journey to transform our digital capabilities by embracing the opportunities from data & technology and integrating them into the business. The world is changing, and the IKEA business is changing with it. For IKEA though, one thing will always remain the same ─ our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people.

About IKEA Information Management (IM)

Data/information management has the assignment to establish common capabilities for how we manage data/information across Inter IKEA, in areas such as Master Data Management, Reference data management, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Digital Ethics.

This is supported by common ways of working and governance models, which are developed, maintained and supported by the Data Management network.

The IM team in Data & Technology Range where this role belongs to, is responsible to implement Data/information management capabilities in Core Business Range perspective.

Job Description

As a Master Data Specialist, you will support the organisation in leveraging information and data. This you will do in many ways; by supporting business stakeholders in understanding the potential of modern harmonised Master Data Management (MDM) practices and standards, by supporting the build-up of structured and well working master data management for CBR and connected domains, creating and disseminating best practices, frameworks and accelerators across the organisation.

You are regularly involved in activities and meetings with stakeholders to determine large and small opportunities where MDM could help the organisation to better reach its goals and work in a more efficient way.

Leading a complex organisation to realise the benefits that modern MDM can bring is at the heart of the role.

You will:

  • Support the development and roll-out of MDM capabilities across a complex organisation.
  • Work and communicate closely with colleagues, enabling them to work smarter and more efficient with the help of MDM.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of an MDM network across IKEA.
  • Drive continuous improvement, collaboration and knowledge sharing of methodologies, tools, and materials across the IKEA MDM community.
  • Ensure consistency by supporting the use of relevant development techniques, digital frameworks, and best practices.

Qualifications

We are continuously on a journey to develop IKEA by bringing in passionate people who embrace change, dare to question, and want to make a difference. You are inspired and energised by the possibilities and opportunities that digital and information technology brings to enable, transform, and break new grounds, always with the user's best interest in mind. You also share our values striving always for simplicity and togetherness. If that sounds like you, come and join us in digitising the IKEA Franchise offer and the IKEA Concept. Together we can do great things.

To be successful in this role, we believe you are a strong Master Data Specialist who can naturally and effectively communicate, collaborate, network and build relationships across a complex organisation. You should also be able to make the benefits of effective MDM understood and embraced by both technical and non-technical co-workers. Beyond that if you are comfortable balancing several stakeholders and agendas simultaneously, then this is the role for you.

Knowledge

  • Business development experience from complex organisations.
  • Knowledge and experience within the Master Data field, especially within driving and expanding the use of modern Master Data practices, strategies, and technical tools.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree or similar/higher qualifications in statistics, physics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science or related.
