About the role:
We are currently looking for Scrum Masters who are committed to the scrum methodology, agile principles, and best practices while still remaining flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.
You are essentially responsible for Scrum and helping people and their organization master Scrum.
It’ll be upon you to influence people to let go of certain behavior patterns and embrace new as a Scrum Master.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily standups (or the daily scrum) as needed
- Shield the team from over-committing and scope creep.
Aid in estimation and sub task creation
- Participate in the meeting and capture feedback
- Observe areas for improvement and action items for future sprints
- Work as the administrator of the scrum board.
Ensure that cards are up to date and the scrum tools like Jiraare working well
- Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed to address team disagreements about process and work styles
- Consult with team members and internal stakeholders on how best to work with the scrum team
- Regular analysis of burndown chartsand other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence
- The scrum master aids the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, particularly Scrum, and their application in product development.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Android development processes and challenges.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Experience of project management
- Knowledge of lean/strategic vision and execution
- Proven experience of coaching and developing high performing teams
- Technical background and/or domain knowledge
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both in writing and verbal
Prefered Skills:
- Exceptional leadership qualities with careful consideration of serving the team and facilitating their self-organization
- Effective and transparent communication skills to ensure all team members and stakeholders understand the project's status, goals, and obstacles
- Proficient in facilitation skills, technical knowledge and time management
- Adaptibility is key in being open to change and acknowledge the need to adjust to the evolving needs of the team and the project
- Problem-solving attributes to deal with impediments and conflicts.
- Ability to find solutions to keep the team and project on track
- Coaching and mentoring skills are highly valuable as a Scrum Master
- Excellence in Interpersonal skills, empathy and work-ethic are highly valued
