Context A world leader in its field, the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) is an international research centre at the forefront of neutron science and technology. Come and join our (6-person) Instrumentation and Control group, which is part of the Electricity and Electronics Service within the ILL's Reactor Division. Our maintenance teams are dedicated to modernising, maintaining and performance-testing the reactor installations, ensuring strict compliance with current regulations. Your tasks Reporting to the Head of Group and working closely with the other technicians in the group, you will have the following duties: . Preparing and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance work and periodic testing and inspections on electronic equipment, including measuring channels and instrumentation and control systems. . Updating and managing technical documentation, in particular electronic schematics and electrical drawings, ensuring that they are compliant and accurate. . Carrying out performance tests and maintenance work on analogue circuit boards in the laboratory. . Preparing maintenance and test procedures, supervising subcontractors and reporting on activities in compliance with current quality and safety standards. . At a later date, and under the responsibility of a project manager: preparing and applying, or ensuring application of, technical documents enabling projects involving the creation or overhaul of installations to be carried out in compliance with quality and nuclear safety standards. Your profile . You have a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification (HNC/HND, foundation degree or equivalent) or apprenticeship degree in electronics, electrical engineering or maintenance. . You are capable of making modifications and improvements to instrumentation and control systems in an industrial environment, based on electrical and electronic drawings. . You are proficient in the use of measuring instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analysers) and signal generators. . You have a service-oriented, practical attitude and are able to work both independently and as part of a team, while complying with safety regulations and standards. . You have a hands-on approach and are able to work meticulously and with initiative, paying particular attention to detail and to the quality of the work you produce. What we offer .
