Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Application Specialist to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

  • Support the company’s business-critical applications by maintaining, updating, and securing them to align with business goals and requirements.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and alignment with application needs and strategies.
  • Monitor application performance and manage capacity planning, implementing necessary updates and enhancements to optimize performance.
  • Provide proactive technical support throughout the application lifecycle, resolve incidents, and offer technical guidance to ensure system stability.
  • Use SQL queries to perform data management, manipulation, and analysis for reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Assess risks related to application performance, security, and compliance, ensuring adherence to IT security policies and standards.
  • Monitor and manage application integrations, ensuring smooth and reliable data flow between systems.
  • Maintain detailed documentation regarding system settings, known issues, solutions, and best practices, while sharing knowledge with team members and stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience as an application specialist, managing and supporting business-critical applications in a structured and analytical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and T-SQL, with the ability to create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure, and basic financial principles related to application management.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL, with a solid grasp of service delivery best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to provide valuable advice on service delivery and application management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both English and Swedish, in speech and writing, to effectively collaborate and communicate in a multilingual environment.
