About the Role:

As a Finance Controller, you'll serve as the guardian of financial integrity, leveraging your expertise to analyze data, develop strategies, and optimize processes to drive profitability and growth.

You will be coordinating all financial processes, reporting and ad-hoc support for the Noram region, ensuring respect of time, laws, and standards.

As you will be responsible for the North America region some flexibility regarding working hours is required and there will be occasional travelling of one working week each time to the Noram region.

In this role you will ensure good coordination on all finance topics with both local management and Icomera finance organization.


Location and work dynamics:

The position is based in our Gothenburg office at Odinsgatan 28 in central Gothenburg, a few minutes’ walk from the central station. At Icomera, we apply a hybrid work environment with the majority of working hours at the office.


Key responsibilities and requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a timely and adequate reporting of financial elements to the organisation (Monthly closing, ad-hoc request), to support management decisions.
  • Lead budget, medium-term plan, and reforecast exercises for the region.
  • Hands-on and willingness to develop the financial awareness of the organisation and being the finance business partner and providing guidance and advice on specific financial topics (bids, project profitability, SG&A costs, cash collection, etc.)
  • Ensure proper respect of accounting standards (both local and IFRS) and tax obligations. Coordinate financial and tax audits.
  • Administer the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables processes for the region. Ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the regional finance organisation. Care of people development.
  • Proficient with Excel and SAP
  • Analytical skills
  • Provide support and insights in the ERP system and process related issues.


Required Competence:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance or accounting, minimum 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Bachelor or master's in economy / business administration, or equivalent
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments are also essential.
  • Advanced skills in bookkeeping.
  • Deep knowledge in finance- and tax legislation.
  • MS Office experience.
