Grid Integration business unit supports customers in creating stronger, smarter and greener grids adapted to meet the needs of the changing power landscape. Our system solutions are designed and delivered to provide the highest lifecycle value with the lowest risk.

In this role you will be responsible buyer for electrical material of various kinds. Keeping in mind Hitachi Energy’s overall standards, developing strategies and setting goals you as a Strategic Buyer will ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.

Your responsibilities

• You will be commercially responsible for suppliers allocated to you.
• Supplier selection together with our engineering team
• Supplier performance monitoring
• Develop long-term strategy, currently in start-up phase
• Develop the processes in terms of cross-use between projects where the environment is currently entirely project-focused
• Claim negotiations for non-performance
• Be part of the Supply Chain Management team

Your background

• Good communication and networking skills is key to success
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration is a plus, or other relevant education or experience, such as Yrkeshögskolan.
• Mix of operative and strategic abilities
• Interest in process development in order to be part of the development of role and responsibilities
• Technical interest
• Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required
