Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 424 IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world. The total range is almost 10,000 products. One of these areas is Marketing & Communication where the focus is on strategic development of the IKEA product and range marketing and communication, brand building communication as well as communication to the many people inside and outside of IKEA. It´s about sharing what we do and why we do it to create engagement and build curiosity and trust for the IKEA brand. Media Relations and Newsdesk Team at IKEA Range and Supply is an important contributor in realising this work. In the Media Relations and Newsdesk Team you work in a global context with both planned and unplanned PR and editorial content. The team plays a central part in identifying stories and angles, develop content and share communication around how IKEA Range and Supply develops and supplies its products and range. We support the business and all IKEA markets with proactive content, incoming requests and advice when IKEA is being challenged. As a Press Officer you are a team player responsible for leading planned and unplanned PR strategies as defined in the Range & Supply Corporate Communication Strategy or defined by insights. You shall identify and run long term, proactive PR opportunities and support as a part for the long term Marketing & Communication plan and cater for the best possible support for the unplanned requests. Your tasks also include to identify, run and follow up long term PR opportunities as a part of Range & Supply Marketing & Communication plan including goals and KPIs and ensure follow up and communication to affected internal stakeholders. You are also expected to give best possible proactive and reactive PR support in the unplanned stream and take active part and contribute in the general risk process. As a Press officer, you take lead in situations when IKEA is challenged and secures trained spokespersons according to Representing IKEA principles in relevant areas. You are also part of Range & Supply on-duty function in alignment with/and a part of the One IKEA on-duty function and you act as second line support for incoming media request and within your area, you secure content for the editorial news flow.
