Frost Unmanned develops unmanned systems for defence customers. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to take responsibility for integration and reliability of our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The role You own how the UAV platform works as a whole: communication, sensor and electrical systems working together as one complete aircraft. The work is hands-on, split between the workshop, the lab and the field.

You will:

• Design, install and integrate communication, sensor and electrical systems on the aircraft

• Configure radio links, sensors, networks and flight control systems

• Develop embedded software

• Plan and carry out cabling and electrical installation

• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level faults

• Test and validate integrated systems, including flight trials

What we are looking for

• MSc or BSc in electrical engineering or a related field

• Experience with system integration of electronics, communications or sensors, ideally on UAVs

• Embedded software development skills

• Comfortable working hands-on with hardware in the field

• Fluent in English, spoken and written

• Able to pass security vetting, as the role involves defence projects

What we offer Permanent full-time position in a small team building UAVs for real operational use. Collective-agreement level insurance and occupational pension. Workplace in Stenungsund, with travel for trials and exercises.
